Recreation

Lake Sidney Lanier is the recreation center for all of Northeast Georgia and the most popular water recreation area in the country. Covering 38,000 acres, it has 607 miles of shoreline and receives over 16 million visitors per year, who take advantage of swimming, skiing, sailing, rafting, camping, hiking, fishing, horseback riding and jogging.
